How to use a USB DVD Players

As Computers get thinner and lighter, space within the laptop becomes ever more valuable. In most modern laptops, a DVD drive is removed to make room for a larger battery or better processor. DVDs can still be played in the classroom with the help of a USB DVD Player. A USB DVD player plugs into a computer's USB port or docking station to bring the full functionality of DVDs or CDs to any device.

How to use the USB DVD Player

1. Go to your buildings library and check out a USB DVD player.

2. Take the USB DVD player out of the box and make sure both the DVD player and cable are inside

3. Plug USB cable into the DVD player

4. Plug the DVD player into the laptop or docking station

5. Eject the DVD Tray using the small black button on the front

6. Insert DVD firmly and close

How to Play a Movie using a USB DVD Player

1. Open Windows File Explorer

2. Click on "This PC"

3. Right Click on the DVD Drive

4. Click "Play with VLC Media Player"

5. VLC will open up and read the disk

6. The movie will begin to play
